Yesterday I went ice-skating with Bob Dylan
Well, when I say Bob Dylan, it was actually my old friend Terry
But when Terry didn’t turn up
It dawned on me that he was an IMAGINARY friend
So I stayed in and watched telly

Seasonal print sale, part 1. Zippy man (“Charity, Bournemouth”)

The first item up in my seasonal print sale is this much loved Bournemouth bench scene.

The print on offer is taken in November 2004, and priced at just £18 (compared to my usual asking price of £100 for prints at that size) plus postage and packing. The prints are 15 by 10 inches, and are part of my occasional affordable print phenomenon.

23 June 2008: Bees vs Punch & Judy

On this date 5 years ago a swarm of bees invaded the Weymouth Punch & Judy booth. I was just getting off the bus from somewhere else as the scene unfolded.

[pic 2281 - click for larger version]

The above photo of bees being removed from Mark Poulton's booth has been quite widely used (e.g. in the Street Photography Now book) but looking back, the whole sequence shown in the complete sequence "contact" sheet makes an interesting little story. The 14 shots making up files nos 2279 to 2292 below span 9 minutes.

Greetings from Littlehampton

On the way back home from Brighton last Saturday evening I found myself stranded in the small seaside town of Littlehampton.

Here's 10 photos I took on Sunday before getting back on the train. Good to see the old place again - a pleasant unexpected stopover.
